"I started seeing Christine for Acupuncture in March 2013 for infertility, and by May of 2013 I was pregnant. Here's my story! I was a 31 year old healthy female who was surprised to find out I was infertile after 1 year of trying to conceive naturally. My OB-GYN referred me to a Fertility Specialist where I was told I do not ovulate often or regular- thanks to mild PCOS (Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome) as well as Stage 3 Endemetriosis. (Read More)

Why choose Us?
At A Way of Life Acupuncture, we pride ourselves in our extensive training in acupuncture, allowing you to receive the best personalized treatment for your condition. Christine's main focus is in acupuncture and herbal therapies. She believes in other healing modalities but keeps her focus and expertise on acupuncture and herbal therapy. If she feels another modality should be added to your treatment plan, she will refer you to those with proper training and expertise in that area. We respect other healing professionals and the dedicated time, resources and training they have invested to be the best in their specialized field. By keeping our main focus on acupuncture and herbs, we continue to grow our knowledge and experience working with various ailments and continue to get results for our patients.
Other professionals may offer acupuncture or acupuncture-like therapies after attending weekend seminars or up to 200 hrs of study. Please be aware that they do not have the same training as someone who is NCCAOM Board certified. We believe in going to those who specialize in the area you are seeking treatment. In Western medicine, if you have a hormone issue, you are referred to an endocrinologist, who specializes in that area. They received additional training to only focus on the endocrine system. You could go to a General Practitioner who has limited training in that area but why settle for limited training when you can go to someone that only focuses on the endocrine system? Acupuncture is no different. If you want to receive the best acupuncture can offer, go to a NCCAOM Acupuncture Physician rather than someone who is trying to do multiple modalities and has limited training in all of them, including acupuncture.
To give you an idea of the training to become NCCAOM Board Certified, after graduating from an accredited acupuncture school for 4yrs, we then sit for our NCCAOM board exams. We are tested in the areas of Acupuncture Point Location, Biomedicine, Foundations of Oriental Medicine and Chinese Herbology. We are trained in Western Medicine but our focus and specialty is on Acupuncture and herbs. We must also pass Clean Needle Technique and be CPR trained. Acupuncturists can not practice acupuncture in the state of Florida (and many other states) unless we pass the Boards.
Acupuncture has been used for over 5,000 years for acute, chronic ailments or as a preventive medicine. It views the body as a whole system and identifies where the imbalance lies, which causes the ailment. When the body is in balance, ailments are less likely to occur.
A Way of Life Acupuncture is dedicated to providing the best and most beneficial care to our patients by following this ancient belief. We work with patients from all ages and all aspects of life, experiencing various symptoms and conditions. We offer private treatment rooms in a spa-like setting allowing each patient the opportunity to relax and de-stress while the body works to heal itself.
We believe in learning from the best so we may provide the best to our patients. We continue to learn and receive Continued Education in Acupuncture and other modalities. Come see why more people are coming to A Way of Life Acupuncture for their acupuncture experience.
A Way of Life Acupuncture is located in the Village Professional Center in Sawgrass Village in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
