Dr. Christine Yastrzemski is the Founder / Owner of A Way of Life Acupuncture, PLLC. She found the benefits of Acupuncture after suffering debilitating migraines while working in Corporate America. She was able to find relief from migraines by using acupuncture and herbal remedies. Her curiosity in trying to understand how acupuncture helped her migraines, led her to years of reading everything she could about acupuncture to try to understand how it works. After 3 years of self-study, Dr. Christine decided to leave a successful corporate job to return to school for her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is passionate about helping others find relief from whatever ails them. Dr. Christine furthered her education and received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health Sciences.
Dr. Christine is a Nationally Board Certified Acupuncture Physician by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She graduated in 2006 from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Ft Lauderdale, Florida after completing a 4-yr training program (with over 3,500 hours) to receive her Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and Bachelor of Health Sciences. She is licensed in the State of Florida by the Department of Health, License number AP2255. She is also certified in Clean Needle Technique. Prior to returning to school for acupuncture, Christine received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Florida. She is a proud member of the Gator Nation.
She has extensive training and experience in acupuncture, Eastern and Western herbs, tai chi/chi kung, aromatherapy, Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, and other modalities (cupping, gua sha, moxibustion). She is highly trained in the latest methods in acupuncture, as well as various ancient methods, integrating both into her practice. She has experience and training in various styles of acupuncture and specializes in acute/chronic injuries, sports injuries, and cancer therapy. Each treatment utilizes her experience and various styles, giving the patient a personalized, tailored, and effective treatment.
With her recent training in CranioSacral Therapy, Dr. Christine combines the benefits of Acupuncture with CranioSacral Therapy, giving the patient a stronger response to both therapies with better outcomes.
She has worked with every type of patient from athletes to stay-at-home mothers, all who received relief from the benefits of acupuncture, and her personalized treatments. She is passionate about alternative medicine and hopes to encourage others to try alternative medicine and incorporating a more natural approach into their normal healthcare routine.
