Over 40 Years Acupuncture Experience
Dr. Christine Yastrzemski — the heart behind A Way of Life Acupuncture, PLLC — came to this work the way many healers do: through her own experience. After discovering how profoundly acupuncture transformed her own debilitating migraines, she was captivated. That curiosity became a calling.
With the courage to walk away from a thriving corporate career, Dr. Christine committed herself fully to the study of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She earned her Master's degree in 2006 from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, followed by her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health Sciences — a testament to her belief that learning never truly stops.
Dr. Christine brings a beautifully layered approach to healing. Her expertise spans acupuncture, Eastern and Western herbs, Ayurveda, CranioSacral Therapy, and Facial Rejuvenation — always working to uncover and address the root cause rather than simply manage symptoms. She has a particular gift for supporting those navigating acute and chronic injuries, sports recovery, migraines, and cancer treatment, tailoring each session to the individual in front of her. She has also recently become certified in MPS Scar Release Therapy, an exciting addition she looks forward to weaving into her treatments for even deeper results.
Her integration of CranioSacral Therapy alongside acupuncture is one of the things that sets her practice apart — a gentle yet deeply effective combination that many of her patients describe as life-changing. Over the years, she has walked alongside athletes, new mothers, cancer patients, and everyone in between, meeting each person exactly where they are.
Dr. Christine holds board certification as a Diplomate with the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and has been a Licensed Acupuncture Physician in Florida since 2006. She has also earned specialized certification from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in both Acupuncture for Cancer Patients and Advanced Acupuncture for Cancer Patients — bringing evidence-informed, compassionate care to some of life's most challenging moments.
Dr. Christine is passionate about reaching beyond the walls of her practice. She is currently developing online programs designed to bring her knowledge and guidance to patients near and far — because healing shouldn't be limited by geography.
Beyond her practice, Dr. Christine spent over a decade teaching a weekly Tai Chi for Movement Disorders class at UF Health Jacksonville through the Neuroscience Department — a quiet but meaningful reflection of her commitment to community wellness. She is also a member of the Florida State Oriental Medicine Association (FSOMA).
At A Way of Life Acupuncture, Dr. Christine's deepest hope is simple: to inspire others to trust in their body's capacity to heal, and to walk alongside them on that journey.
